Arboretum
Kirtland, Ohio
The arboretum was established
in 1931 on 100 acres. Since then it has grown into one of
the largest arboreta in the country with 3,500 acres. The
plant collection contains nearly 20,000 plants representing
more than 6,000 taxa. The garden’s oak collection is
recognized by the North American Plant Collections
consortium (NAPCC). Other major collections include
conifers, magnolias, crabapples and viburnums.
