Garden in the
Woods
Framingham, Massachusetts
This 45-acre garden opened in 1965. About
17 acres are developed into gardens, the remainder
maintained as enhanced woodland. More than 1,500 kinds of
plants are cultivated on the site. The garden is active in
conservation work and is a participating institution of the
national organization, the Center for Plant Conservation. A
highlight is a 2-acre garden displaying more than 100
species of rare New England plants
