Botanical Gardens at Asheville

This
10-acre garden is located on the campus of the University
of North Carolina at Asheville but operates as a separate
entity. It opened to the public in 1961. The plant
collection consists of about 700 species, most native to
the Southern Appalachian Mountain region.
